Welcome To Coach House Barn, Defford

Coach House Barn is a recently renovated self-catering barn conversion situated in the picturesque village of Defford, just a short drive from Pershore, in the heart of Worcestershire. Originally the coach house to Defford House it has a fascinating history, dating back to the 1830’s. Allegedly Queen Victoria’s Aunt Adelaide, the dowager Queen, would visit the house en-route to visit her relatives at Croome Court.

Coach House Barn is located within the walled gardens of Defford House in the village of Defford. Outside there is a tranquil and sunny courtyard garden for the sole use of guests and has seating for five people with plenty of space for alfresco dining. Parking is for up to two cars on the drive.

Coach House Barn has been renovated to a very high standard yet care has been taken to retain the original historic character of the building. The Barn is extremely comfortable and has a wealth of exposed brickwork, oak beams, central heating and conservation double-glazing throughout.

Coach House Barn has been tastefully furnished with a combination of modern and antique furniture and there are original art works dotted all through the property. It has two double bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms, suitable for a family or two couples sharing the property. There is a small bedroom connected to the second double bedroom with a single bed. Children are very welcome and a cot can be provided on advance booking together with a high chair and stair gates.
